Thrislington cubicles: Flow, Ribbon and Oasis

Thrislington cubicles are not traditional steel or plastic stalls. Each system stands on a full aluminum frame, the doors pivot instead of hanging on hinges, and a hydraulic closer shuts them slowly and quietly. Here is how the three systems in Bobrick's US cubicle range compare.

Thrislington Flow

Thrislington Flow is the top of the range: a floor to ceiling cubicle with 42 mm (1 5/8 inch) thick rebated doors that close flush with the front. The doors pivot between the headrail and a stainless steel floor bracket, so there are no hinges, and the frame is hidden from both outside and inside the stall. Bobrick lists an optional extended headrail that takes Flow to 118 1/16 inches (3000 mm), and transom panels up to 137 13/16 inches (3500 mm). Manufacturer says Flow carries a 15 year guarantee (Thrislington Flow). Thrislington says the high privacy suits gender neutral restrooms, and Bobrick lists Class A offices, airports and premium restaurants as typical uses.

Thrislington Ribbon

Thrislington Ribbon reads as one continuous wall of flush doors that seems to float, because the stainless steel foot is stepped back under the panels. Doors are 31 mm rebated, the aluminum frame stays out of sight from the front, and the lock is built into the frame. Standard height is 2500 mm (98 1/2 inches) with a 100 mm (4 inch) floor gap, and Bobrick says the gap can be set between 2 and 9 inches. Manufacturer says Ribbon carries a 10 year guarantee (Thrislington Ribbon).

Thrislington Oasis and Full Height Oasis

Thrislington Oasis hangs its doors from the headrail and sets the foot back, so the visible aluminum framed cubicle looks like it floats. Standard Oasis is 2000 mm (78 11/16 inches) tall with a 150 mm (6 inch) floor gap. Full Height Oasis goes up to 2700 mm with an 8 mm floor clearance in certain finishes. Frames can be painted, and Bobrick lists a custom RAL powder coat option. Bobrick's brochure lists a 10 year warranty for Oasis.

Frame, locks and hardware on Thrislington toilet partitions

Full aluminum frame, floor supported, on Flow, Ribbon and Oasis.
Pivoted doors with a self closing hydraulic closer, so there are no visible hinges and no slamming.
Machined stainless steel lock that fixes through the aluminum frame, with an emergency release from outside.
Stainless steel fittings in 303 or 304 grade, with PVD or powder coated finishes as an upgrade.
Options Bobrick lists: LED occupancy indicators and Smart connected occupancy data on Flow, Ribbon and Oasis.

Price depends on the system, material, height and the number of stalls, so we quote each Thrislington job from the plans. Bobrick's brochure ranks Flow as the highest priced of the three, then Ribbon, then Oasis.
