Urinal Partitions and Urinal Dividers
Urinal Partitions and Urinal Dividers
Urinal partitions are the vertical panels installed between urinals in commercial restrooms. The same product is searched for and specified as a urinal partition or as urinal dividers, and every name describes one thing: a permanent panel that blocks the direct sightline between fixtures. Restroom Stalls and All supplies urinal partitions in the same five materials and mounting options as our toilet partitions, ships nationwide, and installs across Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina and North Carolina.

What Is a Urinal Partition?
A urinal partition is a flat panel mounted between two urinals to give each user personal privacy and to contain splash between fixtures. Urinal dividers are cut from the same panel stock as toilet partitions, so a restroom can match its stalls and its urinal partitions in material, color and hardware. In new construction they are specified alongside the stall layout; in renovations they are a fast upgrade that brings an older restroom in line with what building users now expect.
Urinal Partition Materials
Every urinal partition we supply comes in the five materials used across our toilet partition line, so dividers and stalls can be ordered as one matched package.
| Material | Strengths | Where it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Powder coated steel | The most economical option: honeycomb core steel panels with a baked on powder finish | Offices and moderate traffic restrooms in dry conditions |
| Stainless steel | Corrosion resistant with a premium architectural appearance | High traffic and design led spaces |
| Solid plastic | Solid HDPE through the full panel thickness: unaffected by moisture and easy to power wash | Schools, parks, stadiums and any wet or hard use environment |
| Phenolic, black core | Compressed resin core with high impact and moisture resistance | High traffic restrooms that take hard daily use |
| Phenolic, color thru | The same phenolic performance with color running through the panel edge | Design led projects that want phenolic durability |
| Moisture guard laminate | Laminate finish options with sealed edges for added moisture protection | Projects that want laminate looks beyond a dry room |
How Are Urinal Partitions Mounted?
Most urinal dividers are wall mounted, anchored to blocking in the wall with brackets that match the rest of the restroom hardware. Deeper panels, or dividers going onto walls that cannot carry the full load, add a floor anchored pilaster for extra rigidity. Ceiling hung dividers are also available where the restroom uses a ceiling hung stall system and the floor needs to stay completely clear for cleaning.
- Wall mounted: the standard installation, using continuous brackets anchored to in-wall blocking.
- Wall mounted with floor support: adds a pilaster to the floor for deeper panels or lighter wall construction.
- Ceiling hung: matches ceiling hung partition systems and keeps the floor unobstructed.
If you are choosing mounting for the whole restroom, our toilet partition mounting styles page compares all four systems and which materials pair with each.
ADA and Sightline Considerations
Urinal partitions sit inside an accessibility layout, not apart from it. An accessible urinal needs clear floor space for approach, and dividers must be positioned so they do not narrow that approach or the route through the restroom. Panel depth also matters for sightlines: the divider should break the line of sight from the door and circulation areas without closing in the fixture.
