Product Description
The JL Industries Ambassador C2014 is a trimless steel fire extinguisher cabinet for up to 20 lb portable extinguishers (20 lb mounted to the tub). It has a 12 x 27 x 7-3/4 in inside tub. Cold-rolled steel door and trim, white powder coat finish. Restroom Stalls and All is an authorized JL Industries dealer. We ship nationwide, and our own W2 crews furnish and install JL Industries cabinets in our Southeast service area.
Door Styles and Glazing
- Full View (F, G): one full-height window; G adds a Saf-T-Lok.
- Horizontal Duo (D, E) and Vertical Duo (V, W): the window is split into two panels; E and W add a Saf-T-Lok.
- Small Window with Saf-T-Lok (B10): a small view window in a locking door.
- Solid (S21, L22): no glazing; L22 adds a Saf-T-Lok.
Glazing for the glazed doors: clear acrylic (code 10, standard), clear safety glass (18), bronze acrylic (15) or gray acrylic (16). The part number is C plus the model plus the door and glazing code, for example C2014F10.
Fire-Rated Option (FX2)
Choose the fire-rated version when the cabinet goes into a fire-rated wall. JL Industries lists its FX2 cabinets as a UL listed membrane penetration firestop system for walls up to 2 hours (UL 1479). The part number ends in FX2, for example C2014F10FX2. Confirm the wall assembly with the architect or the authority having jurisdiction.
Installation Note
Trimless cabinets are set before the wall is finished; the wall finish covers the flange so only the door shows. Check the JL trimless submittal for the rough opening.
